FoodieWalks - General Information
Upcoming Walks     Event Status
Love having fun, eating good food, quaint main streets, ocean views and discovering little-known treasures in Southern California? Love to walk, talk, laugh and make new friends?
Want to get and stay in shape or just want to get away from it all? Then FoodieWalks are for you!

Most walks are approximately 4-6 miles round-trip (but can range anywhere from 2 - 10 mi) and are mostly flat. An approximate walking distance and elevation gain will be listed in the write-ups.

Most walking trips/tours are $5 - $15* (plus admissions, parking and food/drink).
Your first walking trip/tour is free (excluding admissions, parking and food/drink).

Medium to heavy rain will usually cancel a walk/activity. Cancellation notification, as well as weather, traffic and map links to the activity, will be put on the Event Status page.
In the event of a last minute cancellation due to bad weather, the status page will be updated, provided the web server is available at that time.

The walks are open to adults ages 21 to 121.

Always bring water, wear sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes.

Details about the walks are in the The Sweet, Sleek, Fit and Fun Newsletter. The newsletter will be available in 2004.

*There is no charge for Doing Great Things for Great People activities but participants will most likely be asked to bring something for the parties at the Childrens' or Retirement Homes.
