Most walking trip/tours are $5 - $15 (plus admissions, parking and food/drink). Your first walking trip/tour is free (excluding admissions, parking and food/drink).

Oct: Doing Great Things for Great People: Pumpkin Party for Kids at Orangewood Childrens' Home. Lunch at Alcatraz Brewery in the Block of Orange Xtreme Mall.

Jan: MDR7.JPG - 7843 BytesPrior to our Premiere, Kick-off FoodieWalk, there will be a 2 mile round-trip, training walk in Marina Del Rey, Burton Chace Park, Fisherman's Village. Walk is free. Details to follow. Check Event Status on this site as the date gets closer.
Jan: MDR7.JPG - 7843 Bytes Marina Del Rey: The Premiere, Kick-off FoodieWalk Extravaganza! The walk will be approximately four miles round trip and will include Burton Chace Park and Fisherman's Village. It will be followed by pizza.
Walk Info: 4 miles round trip. No elevation gain. Rain cancels. Date: TBD.
Costs: Kick-off FoodieWalk is free, bring $ for pizza.
Feb: BALRUB.JPG - 4378 BytesNewport Beach Pier, Balboa Pier, Penninsula, Old Spaghetti Factory. Our Walk will be from Newport Pier to Balboa Pier and then around the Cape Cod-like penninsula. We'll walk back to the Newport Pier, having dinner in route at the Old Spaghetti Factory (Pier of the Month Club-PMC).
Mar: Long Beach: The New Pike, Shoreline Village, Rainbow Lagoon and Bubba Gump's. Please join us for our very first walk as we discover the newest addition to the Shoreline Village area of Long Beach, the New Pike. Lunch will tentatively be at Bubba Gump's. After the walk you may want to spend time at some of the there wonderful attractions that are also in the Rainbow Lagoon area; the Aquarium of the Pacific, Queen Mary, AquaBus, New Pike's Mulitplex theater or state-of-the-art bowling alley!
Apr: HUNT10.JPG - 10384 BytesHuntington Library, Mansion/Art Gallery and Gardens Walk. We'll see "Pinkie" and "Blue Boy", the beautiful Rose Garden, Japanese Garden and Tea House, Cactus Garden. Lunch will follow at the Burger Continental. FoodieWalk: $5 plus money for Huntington Library admission and lunch.
May: Laguna Beach: Brunch at Las Brisas restaurant - overlooking the ocean, followed by walk on paths in cliff-top park, on beach and in the quaint village.
May: Doing Great Stuff for Great People - The Day Before Mother's Day party at a retirement home.
Jun: Hermosa Pier to Redondo Beach Pier. Time to explore Redondo Beach Pier. Pizza. (PMC)
Jul: Belmont Pier and 2nd Street Walk, in Long Beach. Pizza. (PMC)
Aug: Marina Del Rey, Venice Canals Walk. (PMC)
Sep: BALFERIS.JPG - 5924 BytesBalboa Island, Balboa Pier, Fun Zone and Yankee Tavern Restaurant. We'll walk around Balboa Island and down Main St. We'll take the ferry across to Balboa penninsula and see the Pavillion, and Fun Zone. Lunch will follow at the Yankee Tavern Restaurant.
Costs: Walk - $5 for SSFF Newsletter subscribers, $7 for non-subscribers. Plus $ for lunch.

Oct: Claremont Walk: Claremont colleges, campus - the Ivy League, Oxford of the West, the village, and Victorians. Vince's restaurant for dinner. Possible side-trip to the Thinnery, a sugar-free (fructose-sweetened dessert) bakery!
Nov: Old Town Orange: Wonderful Neighborhood with Grandma Houses, Antique Stores as far as the eye can see, Watson's Soda Fountain, Lunch at P.J.'s Abbey. Early Christmas Shopping opportunity!
Dec: Seal Beach Walking Tour: Quaint Main Street, Pier, Neighborhood. (PMC)

Mar: St. Patrick's Day Walkathon. This is a fun Charity Event. It is not a FoodieWalk, so there will be no FoodieWalk fee. But there is a charitable donation to the enter the walkathon, approximately $25. We'll meet and walk together and go for lunch afterwards. St. Patrick's hat, headbands, etc. are optional.
Apr: 1st Annual Spam (yes, the Luncheon Meat) Fan Club Foodiewalk! Santa Monica: Pier, Third St. Promenade.
Please see the Spam website. It is so much fun - especially the Spam Stuff and Spam Fan Club, even the Fan Club Application is fun! You do not have to be an Official member of the Spam Fan Club to participate in the walk, however, as the site says, [The $15] "membership has its privileges", including Spam recipes and a "members-only" Spam t-shirt, it just doesn't get better than this! 1 800 LUV-SPAM (PMC)
